Tech Startup PyramidBits Launches Initiative to Support Startups During Pandemic

Egyptian tech services startup PyramidBITS has launched an initiative, gathering over 40 businesses and counting, to lend a hand to startups struggling during the coronavirus outbreak. 

The list includes businesses from a variety of industries, including creative studios, digital marketing agencies, production houses, edutech startups, IT solutions and fintech. All startups are offering their services at either discounted rates or waiving fees entirely in the effort to support the ecosystem.

All entrepreneurs need to do is fill out a form with their information and identify the size of their startup, and then request which specific business they require services from, while browsing the entire list of services offered through the initiative. The form also allows other startups to register their businesses to join the roster and keep the support streak going.

“When the pandemic broke out, we personally saw several startups and SMEs shut down due to low revenues, so we thought why not band together companies all dedicated to offer their services for free or at discounted rates for other startups to help them survive,” Mohamed Abdelmoneim, CEO of PyramidBITS tell Startup Scene. 

“Some startups were already offering their support free of charge, and now more startups are on-board and have made their services available through our initiative, so we can all be #StrongTogether. And so far we’ve had 48 businesses sign up as supporters to offer their services.”
