UAE AI Startup Ayan Raises Dh2.2 Million Pre-Seed

Ayan will use the funding to expand beyond MENA as brands increasingly compete for visibility through AI assistants.

UAE-based AI startup Ayan has raised Dh2.2 million in pre-seed funding from strategic global angel investors, with the company planning to expand beyond the Middle East and North Africa.

Ayan’s platform is built around what it calls “AI-led buying”, tracking how AI assistants describe brands and what they tell consumers before they reach a company’s own sales channels.

The company says its system has analysed millions of data points across AI-generated brand descriptions, comparing them against each brand’s intended positioning. It then applies those insights across product pages, campaigns and sales teams before measuring how those changes affect subsequent AI responses.

Ayan says it currently works with more than 50 brands across MENA, Europe and North America. Founder and CEO Pablo Charron said the company is focused on helping brands understand and influence the version of themselves that customers increasingly encounter through AI systems.

The startup has also appointed Vincent Carvalho, Chief Growth Officer for M&A Group at IFS, as a founding board member, while Christian Pedersen, Group CEO of Cegid, has joined as an adviser.

According to MAGNiTT, AI and AI-enabled companies in MENA raised $678 million in the first half of 2026, up 81% year-on-year, with UAE-based companies accounting for 93% of the total.
