UAE-Based Game Studio Hypemasters Raises $1M Round Led by Impact46
Hypemasters, operating from Abu Dhabi, secures $1 million in a round led by Impact46 to fuel new strategy game launches.
UAE-based game development studio Hypemasters has raised $1 million in a funding round led by Saudi Arabia’s Impact46, with participation from GEM Capital.
Operating from a development centre in Abu Dhabi and supported by offices across the US, Europe, and the Middle East, the studio is known for building mid-core player-versus-player strategy games for mobile and PC, including its flagship title 'World War Armies'.
Founded in 2019 by Boris Kalmykov and Ekaterina Bazhanova, Hypemasters plans to expand its presence across the region while progressing several new projects already underway. “We’re focused on deepening our presence across the region and pushing forward with the next generation of strategy games, including a major new title already in soft launch,” said Boris Kalmykov, CEO and Co-Founder of Hypemasters.
Impact46, the round’s lead investor, is a CMA-licensed asset manager overseeing more than SR 2.8 billion in alternative investments. The firm recently launched an SR 150 million gaming fund to support regional studios developing competitive and commercially scalable titles.
