EZHire, a startup offering on-demand car rental services in the UAE, has just announced raising a seed investment, in a round led by Jabbar Internet Group. Kuwaiti investor Ali Al-Salim who is the co-founder of Arkan Partners, Sahm Yaghi, and Al Jal Investors also joined the round. “We see huge potential in eZhire, they are truly redefining the way people rent a car. They are the first of its kind in the region, people really needed an easy way to get a car, and we believe eZhire is the answer to it,” said Sammih Toukan, Chairman of Jabbar Internet Group.
Founded in 2016 by Hassan Saduzai, the startup connects renters with car rental companies through its mobile apps and web-based platform, allowing users to skip long lines and paperwork, delivering the car in 59 minutes. “We had domain expertise in car rental, and we found it very confusing and complicated to rent a simple car. We believe that renting a car should be as simple as hiring a cab, and that’s how the idea for eZhire was born,” Saduzai explains.
