UAE’s Car Rental Platform Finalrentals Expands into Saudi Arabia

In an interview with AMEinfo.com this week, UAE-based entrepreneur, Ammar Akhtar, revealed that his online car rental startup, Finalrentals, is set to expand into Saudi Arabia this month - in three weeks, to be precise.

Founded in 2017, Finalrentals works in a similar fashion to comparison sites, by allowing users to specify their needs and then amalgamating the relevant options from car rental firms. Both short and long term rentals are offered, and the company will deliver the car. The process is fully digitised, including the submission of driving licenses and other necessary information.

Akhtar also revealed in the interview that he launched the startup with just $40,000, making the fact that Finalrentals is the only service of its kind in GCC all the more impressive.
