The agreement comes ahead of Al Nasr's ambitious plans to roll out 25,000 E70 models annually by 2022.

Uber Egypt’s General Manager, Ahmed Khalil, has announced that the ride-hailing company will be trialling Al-Nasr Automobiles’ locally-manufactured electric vehicle, the ‘E70’, for a three-month period.
The ‘E70’ vehicle was made as part of a deal between the Ministry of Public Enterprise Sector and Chinese automotive company, Dongfeng. The two entities signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in 2020 to jointly-manufacture the models in Egypt under the company’s supervision.
As of 2022, Al-Nasr is expected to be rolling out 25,000 cars annually, climbing to 53,000 by 2025.
