Egypt Launches Application for Overseas Work Contract Notarisation
Electronic bookings introduced to notarise contracts and schedule interviews at overseas employment unit.
Egypt's Ministry of Labour has launched a pilot electronic platform enabling citizens to book appointments to notarise overseas employment contracts and attend job interviews at the Egyptian Overseas Employment Services Unit.
The system is designed to improve organisation at service centres and reduce overcrowding by allowing users to schedule appointments in advance. It covers notarisation of contracts issued by the ministry as well as those issued by other authorised entities.
The pilot phase will run for one month, during which electronic bookings will operate alongside traditional paper-based procedures. Authorities said the dual system is intended to ensure service continuity while assessing the platform’s technical performance.
Running both systems simultaneously will allow officials to monitor administrative efficiency and gather feedback from users and staff before moving to a full rollout.
