Three Firms Licensed for Futures Brokerage Activity in Egypt
Capital, Mubasher Trade and EFG Hermes receive approval to trade securities-based futures.
Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority has approved licences for three brokerage firms to engage in brokerage activity in futures contracts derived from securities and financial instruments listed on a futures exchange.
CI Capital Securities Brokerage, Mubasher for Securities and Bonds (Mubasher Trade), and EFG Hermes for Securities Brokerage received the approvals from the Committee for the Establishment and Licensing of Companies operating under the Authority’s supervision.
The licences were granted pursuant to Decision No. 7 of 2026, approved by the Authority’s Board of Directors, which outlines the financial, technical and administrative requirements for conducting futures brokerage activity. The framework is designed to ensure governance standards and institutional compliance in line with regulatory oversight of non-banking financial services.
The licensing committee, established under Chairman Decision No. 3060 of 2023, oversees approvals for the establishment and licensing of companies in the non-banking financial sector. Its mandate includes reviewing applications to add new activities and mechanisms, approving branch openings, relocations and closures, processing liquidation and suspension requests, and managing the registration and renewal of founders’ agents.
