Egypt’s MSMEDA & Aman Sign $4.9 Million Microenterprise Financing Deal
The agreement is expected to support around 2,500 microenterprises across Egypt, with financing of up to roughly $5,800 per project.
Egypt’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) has signed a $4.9 million financing agreement with Aman Holding, a subsidiary of Raya Holding, to expand funding for microenterprises and entrepreneurs across the country.
The financing is expected to reach around 2,500 microenterprises, with individual projects able to access up to approximately $5,800. The programme will support business development, equipment replacement and renewal, with the aim of improving productive capacity and long-term sustainability.
Aman will distribute the financing through its network of 233 branches across Egypt, offering funding to existing microenterprises as well as businesses seeking to enter the formal economy.
The agreement forms part of MSMEDA’s wider strategy to expand microfinance through partnerships with private financing companies and improve access to capital for smaller businesses.
