PayMint, an Egyptian fintech company, has received final approval from the Central Bank of Egypt to introduce the Meeza prepaid card. Developed in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank – Egypt (ADIB-Egypt), the card aims to enhance financial inclusion and contribute to the Egyptian government’s broader vision of fostering a paperless economy through partnerships with fintech innovators.

Since its establishment in 2019, PayMint has been providing a range of financial services tailored to individuals and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Egypt. These services include scheduled payments, rapid money transfers, and business loans of up to EGP 3 million (approximately $60,000).

The Meeza prepaid card offers users the ability to carry out cash withdrawals, in-store purchases and online transactions within Egypt. To complement this, PayMint’s mobile application allows customers to manage their cards, track spending and view balances in real time.

Targeting individual consumers such as permanent and temporary workers, freelancers and suppliers, the card provides a streamlined method for receiving payments and accessing financial services.
