Emirates NBD & GCAA Introduce Fully Automated H2H Payment System
The bank-built platform connects the General Civil Aviation Authority to instant, internet-based payments, aligning with the UAE’s digital transformation and smart government services.
Emirates NBD has partnered with the UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority to implement a host-to-host payment platform that will fully automate and secure the Authority’s digital transactions.
Developed by Emirates NBD’s Transaction Banking Services, the system enables the Authority to manage payments to aviation clients, suppliers, and partners both locally and internationally through instant, internet-based connectivity. The solution replaces manual processes with a streamlined, paperless setup aligned with the UAE’s digital transformation strategy.
The initiative is one of the first full integrations of a host-to-host system within a UAE federal entity and is framed as supporting government aims of digital innovation, zero bureaucracy, and enhanced operational efficiency.
The partnership follows extensive planning, testing, and systems integration between Emirates NBD and the Authority, and is intended to deliver higher automation, security, and transparency across all transactions.
