GBM Launches UAE’s First Cisco-NVIDIA AI Lab
The lab will help GCC organisations test and deploy secure on-premises and hybrid AI systems while meeting data and compliance requirements.
Gulf Business Machines has launched the UAE’s first AI Lab built on the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA, giving organisations across the GCC access to secure full-stack infrastructure for testing and deploying artificial intelligence systems.
The lab is designed to shorten deployment timelines from months to weeks, allowing customers to test on-premises and hybrid AI use cases while addressing requirements around data residency, regulatory compliance, security and low-latency processing.
The infrastructure combines Cisco’s modular AI platform with NVIDIA accelerated computing and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software. Security controls are built across models, agents, workloads and data paths, with continuous monitoring of AI workloads and agent activity alongside hardware-level policy enforcement.
“As regional enterprises transition from AI experimentation to full-scale operationalization, they face a critical decision-making window,” said Pieter Bil, CEO of GBM. “We have bridged this gap by turning world-class technology frameworks into secure, locally managed platforms tailored for the GCC.”
GBM said the lab will serve as a demonstration and deployment environment for organisations looking to move AI projects into production while maintaining local control over infrastructure and data.
