Meta Launches AI Chatbot With Arabic Capabilities in MENA Region

Having already launched in many countries around the world such as the UK, Canada and New Zealand, Meta has introduced its AI chatbot, Meta AI, in the MENA region. The chatbot is capable of offering support to users in the Arabic Language, improving its accessibility.

Millions of users will now be able to access the service in Algeria, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Following this launch, users in the region will have access to only some of Meta AI’s generative capabilities, such as text and image generation and image animation. However, the company plans to expand these services to include simultaneous dubbing for Reels, AI image editing and the ‘Imagine Me’ feature, which generates a user’s portrait based on uploaded photos.

The chatbot offers support in social media apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, and can be accessed free of charge.
