Oman Oil Marketing Company is backing Omani small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with $3.76 million (1.45 million OMR) in contracts. Partnering with nine Omani businesses, the company is channeling investment into logistics, digital transformation, infrastructure, and engineering services, ensuring SMEs play a vital role in the nation’s economic growth, and improving In-Country-Value (ICV).

The contracts, spanning one to five years, cover retail enhancements, digital innovation, and advanced fuel infrastructure. Projects include upgrading Ahlain stores with a new delivery service, rolling out QR code ordering at Amazon Café, and introducing a digital identity verification system, Know Your Customer (KYC), within the OOMCO Mobile App to streamline digital services.

In engineering and infrastructure, awarded contracts will fund the installation of advanced underground fuel tanks, fire engine maintenance and station safety upgrades. Facility management agreements include headquarters upkeep and improved transaction systems at service stations.

“SMEs are a pillar of our national economy,” CEO Tariq bin Mohammed Al Junaidi said. “By awarding these contracts, we are empowering local businesses, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable economic growth in Oman.”

Beyond boosting local entrepreneurship, the initiative will help create jobs, develop homegrown talent, and streamline operations through technology-driven solutions.
