Turkey's Paribu Acquires VARA-Authorised CoinMENA At $240M Valuation
Paribu’s first cross-border platform acquisition brings Bahrain and Dubai licences as regulated crypto consolidates across MENA.
Paribu — one of Turkiye’s largest digital asset trading platforms — has acquired CoinMENA for $240 million, marking the biggest fintech acquisition in Turkiye to date and establishing Paribu’s formal entry into the Middle East.
CoinMENA, a Bahrain founded crypto exchange licensed by both the Central Bank of Bahrain and Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), brings Paribu immediate access to two regulated markets. It also adds more than 1.5 million users across 45 countries, alongside support for 50 plus cryptocurrencies.
The company stated that existing services and trading operations will continue as normal for users on both platforms during integration. The deal is expected to accelerate regulated crypto consolidation in the region as exchanges seek scale and licensing leverage.
The acquisition positions Paribu to build infrastructure for broader regional expansion.
