Vista Equity Partners Opens Abu Dhabi Office
Vista Equity Partners’ new Middle East base will focus on investment advisory and enterprise software opportunities across the region.
Vista Equity Partners has opened a new office in Abu Dhabi Global Market, expanding the company’s presence in the Middle East through the UAE capital’s financial centre.
The new entity, VEPM Middle East Limited, has received authorisation from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority to advise on investments and arrange regional deals.
The Abu Dhabi office will be led by Vignesh Vijayakumar, who stated that the firm’s local presence is intended to strengthen connections between Vista’s international operations and growing regional interest in enterprise software investments.
Vista said the expansion allows it to deepen relationships with Middle Eastern investors and sovereign wealth funds, including existing co-investment partnerships involving Abu Dhabi-based institutions.
The move extends Vista’s international footprint beyond its offices in the United States and Hong Kong.
Robert F. Smith stated that enterprise software and AI-driven operational systems are becoming increasingly central to business infrastructure globally, adding that Abu Dhabi has emerged as a major centre for digital and technology-focused investment strategies.
The office opening comes amid broader expansion by investment and private credit firms across the Middle East. Earlier this year, Barings opened an Abu Dhabi office after establishing operations in Dubai in 2024, while Bain Capital selected Abu Dhabi as its regional hub.
