The Egyptian government has unveiled a package of financial, investment and digital initiatives for Egyptians living abroad, introducing new services ranging from a US dollar-denominated pension programme to expanded digital payments and streamlined access to banking and consular services.

Announced during the seventh Egyptians Abroad Conference, the measures include four cooperation protocols signed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates to expand services for citizens overseas.

In partnership with Misr Life Insurance, the ministry launched 'Your Pension Tomorrow in Dollars', a retirement savings programme denominated in US dollars. An agreement with Delta Egypt Payments' Sahl platform will allow Egyptians abroad to pay utility bills, financial obligations and government service fees electronically through the company's digital platform.

Meanwhile, a joint initiative with the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and the Central Bank of Egypt will simplify the process of updating customer banking data remotely, improving access to banking services for Egyptians living overseas. A separate agreement with the Ministry of Education expands the presidential 'Speak Arabic' initiative, introducing programmes designed to strengthen Arabic language skills and reinforce cultural identity among children of Egyptians abroad.

During the conference, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk also confirmed plans to launch a dedicated investment fund for Egyptians abroad in 2027, alongside an integrated digital platform being developed with the Ministries of Industry and Investment and Foreign Trade to simplify company formation and improve access to investment incentives, tax and customs facilities, and opportunities across priority sectors.

The government is also expanding digital public services by integrating artificial intelligence into multilingual service delivery.
