ITIDA Teams Up with Udacity to Launch Tech Scholarship Programme for 100,000 Egyptians
The programme aims to invest in the development of tech skills in the local workforce, as part of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology’s capacity-building campaign.
Egypt’s Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has launched an online training initiative for young techies that’s designed to scale up digital skills among the Egyptian workforce through Udacity, a global online learning platform.
The programme is aptly named ‘Future Work is Digital’ (FWD), and will offer a free 18-month online scholarship to 100,000 Egyptians in the areas of web development, data analytics and digital marketing to better equip them for the requirements of the job market.
The campaign is part of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology’s strategy to invest in Egypt’s large and well-educated workforce and local talents. Students will be able to apply for the scholarship through a dedicated website that ITIDA will be launching soon.
