Nigeria’s V8 Capital Opens Applications for Africa-Wide Accelerator
The second round of the V8 Growth Labs Accelerator is offering up to $50,000 in funding.
Applications have officially opened up for startups across Africa to apply for the second edition of the V8 Growth Labs Accelerator, a three month program launched by Lagos-based V8 Capital Partners.
The programme targets African companies working in areas including financial services, healthcare, education, transportation, agriculture, artificial intelligence, robotics, and clean energy. The startups will be able to access mentorship, business development, and funding up to $50,000.
During the first edition last year, participating startups truQ and Agriple were able to secure investments and scale their businesses.
While ecosystems in North Africa have often attached themselves to the wider MENA ecosystem, a renewed sense of a pan-African ecosystem has been been triggered by the notion that challenges faced by the likes Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Libya and Algeria fall much more in line with the challenges African nations faces than the rest of the Arab world.
