The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has launched the second edition of Saudi Game Champions, an incubator and accelerator aimed at supporting video game entrepreneurship and empowering local game development. Partnering with National Technology Development Program, with support from ITMAM Consultancy, Game BCN and Zigzag Ventures., the initiative starts with a three-day GameJam competition, from which the top 100 out of 200 participants are selected to enter the four-month incubation path.
There, teams will receive mentorship from global experts, technical and business training, support to improve production workflows, and market insight that can help their studios mature. At the end of the incubation program, entrepreneurs will present the 20 best teams to industry investors and publishers, with some grants available and opportunity to travel for international expos. The aim is to equip game entrepreneurs to build market-ready studios, expanding Saudi Arabia’s gaming ecosystem and helping local studios compete globally.
