Staff Writer

Taking place over five days, starting December 6th, the fourth annual Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) will - like so many events and summits across the MENA ecosystem - be held virtually. Organised by Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), the event has aimed to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit in young changemakers over it’s relatively short lifetime - and will have to continue to do so via Facebook this year.

This year’s theme of #BeTheHero will highlight and focus on a variety of topics such as conscious and responsible changemaking, emotionally intelligent leadership and personal transformation. With what 2020 has shown us, there’s no better time to advocate for impactful investing and engaging leadership than now.

The speaker lineup is stacked with industry leaders and  some of the biggest global names. This year’s speakers include: Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sheraa; Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate 2006 and founder of Grameen Bank; Dr. Jane Goodall, primatologist, anthropologist, and UN Messenger of Peace; Muna Al Gurg, Director of Retail of Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group; Anousheh Ansari, CEO of Xprize and the first female private space explorer; Badr Jafar, CEO of Crescent Enterprises and President, Crescent Petroleum; Silfath Pinto, an energy healer and mindset coach; Amna Aljarwan, co-founder of KnackLab; Kate Robertson and David Jones, co-founders of One Young World; and Keith Ferrazzi, Chairman and founder of Ferrazzi Greenlight.
