Virtual Edition of Angel Rising to Focus on ‘Conscious Investing & Catalysing Tech for Good’

Already considered one of the leading conferences on investment in the UAE, the sixth annual Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium is just one day away and isn’t letting the pandemic get in the way. Taking place on November 24th-25th, this year’s edition is set to be hosted virtually.

As a joint partnership between startAD, NYU Abu Dhabi’s global startup accelerator, and VetureSouq, this year’s event comes in collaboration with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa). 

Centred on the concept of ‘Conscious Investing and Catalysing Technology for Good’, the event is bringing together industry experts and thought leaders from across the world, with the aim of building awareness, access and a better understanding of what it takes to become an investor into mission-driven technology enabled companies. The event will also see the culmination of the inaugural Conscious Investor Fellowship, through which global investors spent eight weeks focusing on the importance and impact of conscious investing.

Some of the highlight speakers include Director of the STrategic Investment Fund at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Vidya Vasu-Devan; founder and CEO of Spectrum Impact, Rehana Nathoo; and Senior Director at Salesforce Ventures Impact Fund, Claudine Emeott.
