After signing an agreement in Dubai’s Intersec 2020 exhibition, the two companies pair up to establish a smart operation centre.
Honeywell and Etisalat Misr join hands to support Egypt’s smart city vision by signing off an agreement on the first day of Intersec Dubai 2020 trade show exhibition, to provide advanced solutions to the new capital city being built in the outskirts of Cairo. The collaboration will seek to introduce a state-of-the-art City Operations Centre (COC) that will implement data management systems and efficiently support administrative function and smart city services for citizens.
The two companies pair up to deliver a world-class service for citizens as well as public and private sector entities in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, and cover over 700 square kilometres once complete. The new initiative adds Etisalat Misr to the list of innovators fulfilling Egypt’s smart city vision, following Honeywell’s initial agreement that was signed in February 2019 with the Administrative Capital for Urban Development to deliver smart security and surveillance systems.
Last week, Orange Egypt also vowed to provide cloud computing and several other digitisation services to the new Egyptian capital in their continuous effort to provide cutting-edge solutions.
