Jordan’s Progressive Generation to Launch Kids' VOD Edutainment Platform Following New Investment
The production house will use its Pre-Series A funding to further its goal of becoming a leading Arabic content producer in the region.
Since launching in 2011, Jordanian production house, Progressive Generation, has aimed to be a leading producer of educational Arabic content through investing in creative content and intellectual properties. Since then, founder and CEO, Ahmad Al Masri, has made strides in developing creative, innovative and profitable digital content and edutainment experiences, the latest phase of which will see the startup launch a PG kids platform.
The launch will be made possible by an undisclosed Pre-Series A investment, raised from 500 Startups, Oman Tech Fund and ISSFJO.
"After more than 15 years of experience in building children's content and producing more than 100K minutes of original children content, we have decided with our investors and partners to produce one of the biggest and safest children's VOD platforms in the world,” Al Masri said of the new venture. “The content will be built on excellent and validated Arabic and English language, and will be edutainment; categorised for boys and girls, full of fun, colors, upbringing messages, original songs, and music - stimulating the creative thinking process. We have based this on deep researches in children's psychologies and the variation of each age group; AI has been used to help keep parents updated with what their children are watching."
The platform looks to feed into Progressive Generation’s vision of providing content in MENA that is culturally relevant and productive in its messaging, as education in the region creeps further and further towards digitisation.
