Kuwaiti Business Community Creates Crowd-Sourced Directory of ‘Stay Home’ Services

Compiled by volunteers and business-owners, ‘Stay at Home Kuwait’ is an ever-growing database of all the retailers and service providers that you can buy from in the comfort – and safety – of your own home, amid the Coronavirus lockdown.

The Kuwaiti business and entrepreneurship community, along with some dedicated volunteers, have created a first-of-its-kind directory of all the businesses that are delivering products and services to your door during the Coronavirus lockdown.

With 30 categories – from all sorts of foods and beverages to plants, sports equipment, beauty products and laundry – the ever-growing directory lists businesses that are still operating and can deliver to your door, and links their websites, social media accounts and phone numbers so you can click through to make your order in seconds. Entrepreneurs and business owners can also submit their own details to be included in the directory.

Kuwait has been praised for its fast response to the Coronavirus pandemic, being one of the first countries in the Arab region to shut school and universities, impose a public holiday/work-from-home policy and close mosques and churches. The government has also closed malls, restaurants and cinemas, as well as imposing a curfew between the hours of 5PM and 4AM.
