AfriLabs to Host Annual Gathering in Marrakesh on October 25th-27th
Forced to take things online with a virtual edition in 2020, this year’s AfriLab gathering will mark the Pan-African network’s tenth anniversary.
AfriLabs, a pan-African network organisation which ties together 240 innovation centres across 48 African nations, has announced that this year's annual gathering will take place in Marrakesh, Morocco from October 25th to October 27th. The event is hoped to make its triumphant return, after AfriLabs had to host their gathering virtually last year in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
"This year, AfriLabs will be 10 years old and we will be celebrating and reflecting on the strides of the innovation ecosystem in Africa," AfriLabs Executive Director Anna Ekeledo said. "If you have been part of our story, we would like to say a big thank you! If you haven’t joined us in building the Africa of our dreams… well, let’s make it happen in 2021."
Over the past ten years, AfriLabs has brought together over a million innovators from more 104 cities to support rising entrepreneurs, help create jobs, and come up with solutions for issues specific to Africa.
