Applications Now Open for Injaz’s Startup Egypt Programme
Deadline: February 7.
Supported by the U.S Embassy in Cairo, Startup Egypt opens up admission to their programme, which is an educational, talent-seeking programme. Powered by Injaz Egypt, the programme is for supporting the visions of ambitious Egyptian innovators between the ages of 21-30; transforming the mere business ideas of the youth to well-established, emerging startups.
The multi-faceted programme takes entrepreneurs on a journey of exploration, from their ideation phase all the way to pitching their businesses in a final demo day. The first phase of the programme will chose 35 ideas paired up with passionate teams. The teams then move onto the validation phase where they will be building their business model and prototypes as well as taking a deeper dive into the entrepreneurship ecosystems. Lastly, 5 to 8 teams will be chosen to enter the final phase of the programme where they will pitch for seed funding in front of a panel of esteemed judges. The programme has successfully graduated a bunch of notable Egyptian startups including sustainable fashion brand, UpFuse, on-demand tutoring service Orcas, and many more.
The programme is open for fresh ideas that have not been used previously in any other incubation programmes, and demands team members of a minimum of two and a maximum of five, with at least one fluent English-speaking member. The programme also urges the chosen startups to not compete in any other competition or programme whilst participating.
Looking forward to be the ecosystem’s next big thing? Apply here.
