Egypt’s AUC Venture Lab & ITIDA Are Now Accepting Applications for New Joint Program

The program is seeking tech-focused startups and entrepreneurs, with the ultimate goal of boosting the ecosystem in Egypt.

AUC Venture Lab has partnered with ITIDA (Egypt’s Information Technology Development Agency) to develop and create a program that both parties hope that will support entrepreneurs through training and network building, as well as developing a strong sense of business acumen.

Simply named Startup Launchpad, the program will span eight weeks and will focus on entrepreneurs with an interest in starting a tech-based startup and need support validating their solutions and identifying the appropriate product/market fit, as well as other challenges that tech startups tend to face to Egypt, such as scaling globally and navigating the ecosystem.

As the first university-based startup incubator and accelerator, AUC Venture Lab has been critical in the success of startups such as SWVL and La Reina, particularly in the early days of both. The collaboration with ITIDA, itself an ardent supporter of youth and innovation, marks a unique meeting of two very different entities that are working towards the same goal - to empower and equip young entrepreneurs in Egypt to realise their ideas on a local, regional and international level.

Applications are already open and will close on January 3rd. Click here for more information and to apply.
