Entrepreneurship platform LAFFAZ is teaming up with Microsoft for Startups MEA and Bahrain’s fintech-focused global PR agency Andra PR to host ‘The Future of Fintech in MENA’. The virtual event will bring together industry leaders and experts that will weigh in on the challenges, innovations and opportunities that have come out of the burgeoning sector.

The industry has sharply risen in the past few months, due to the Coronavirus crisis catalysing the development of tech-enabled solutions - most notably within the financial sector. Venture capitalists and investors have poured major funds into MENA-based fintech startups, so much so that the industry reigns with the largest share of investment deals in H1 2020, according to a report by MAGNiTT.

Some of the speaker lineup includes trailblazers in both consumer and enterprise fintech, such as Zeid Husban, CEO of POSRocket, Hosam Arab, CEO of Tabby, Kevin Kilty, CEO of Hubpay, Mohammad El Saadi, CEO of Mamo Pay and Mohamed Wefati, CEO of MIZA Financial Services. The sessions will include hot topics such as banking infrastructures, cloud technology, payments tech and how to build mobile-first, consumer-friendly platforms that facilitate money transferring.

The Future of Fintech in MENA will take place on September 9th, 2020. You can register your sport for free on the event page here.
