‘She Leads’ Launches in the UAE with the Aim of Supporting Women in Business
Launched by Creative Zone and Dubai Business Women Council, this training programme will assist 100 women in kickstarting their businesses.
Creative Zone and the Dubai Business Women Council have entered a partnership agreement aiming to empowering some 100 female entrepreneurs to launch their businesses. A new ten-week programme will provide training, support under the title ‘She Leads.’
The two most promising applicants to the programme will be entitled to free business solutions, including trade licenses, tax and legal services, co-working spaces, among other things.
Upon completing the programme, the participants with the best ideas will have the chance to participate in the Creative Zone X Scale, the accelerator’s second phase, where they can pitch their business plan to investors and business moguls.
All the training modules will be held online by industry experts and coaches, with the majority of them being women as well. "Women entrepreneurs are a vital component of our economy as they are responsible for creating new businesses and jobs. Despite the rapid increase in the number of women-owned firms in recent years, women still face significant barriers to growth. With She Leads, we aim to level up the field by providing women with an equal opportunity in developing their skills and knowledge and connecting them to prospects and resources," said Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager of the Dubai Business Women Council in a press statement.
Only women above the age of 21 who are currently residing in the UAE will be eligible, and must have an existing business or a concrete business plan on which they can apply for coaching, networking, and other learning opportunities.
