AUBH & Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society Partner Up to Empower Students
An on-campus collaboration between American University in Bahrain and the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association will look to equip entrepreneurially-minded students with tools, skills and know-how.
The American University of Bahrain (AUBH) - Bahrain’s first American-style postsecondary institution since 2019 - and Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding that aims to inject new blood into the Bahraini startup ecosystem through on-campus efforts in the university.
The partnership with BBS will present AUBH students with tools, resources, and knowledge about starting a business and developing entrepreneurial skills, and will also host events, workshops, and invite a collection of speakers on campus.
In line with AUBH’s educational philosophy, culture, and approach, the collaboration looks to create a holistic educational experience at the university and instill a career-oriented mindset in their graduates.
“We firmly believe in the role powerful, high-quality education plays in preparing the youth to change the world and start innovative, sustainable businesses that are in the interest of the community,” AUBH’s founding president Dr. Susan E. Saxton said. “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society and working with them on pivotal collaborations geared towards inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs in the country.”
