Dubai Startup Amaani Secures $3M to Scale Arab Beauty Brand AÏZA
Led by Peak XV’s Surge, the raise comes just three months after the launch of AÏZA, which has already hit $2M in annualised revenue.

Amaani, a Dubai-based consumer company, has raised $3M in seed funding for its debut Arab beauty brand AÏZA. The round was led by Peak XV’s Surge, marking their first consumer and seed investment in the Middle East and North Africa. Founded by former Sequoia investor Shubham Poddar, Amaani is built on the idea of creating global beauty brands out of the region.
AÏZA launched online in May 2025, blending Arab heritage with global innovation through ingredients like dates, black seed, and bakhoor crafted in labs across Korea, Japan, and Italy. Its standout products include Sukkar Rush lip treatment, Scent Storm hair mist, and Date Setter brow serum. In its first three months, the brand surpassed $2M in annualised revenue, fuelled by strong demand in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The company plans to scale AÏZA across the region and globally while building future brands inspired by modern Arabia. Its products are vegan, cruelty-free, and alcohol-free, already meeting 'Clean at Sephora' standards and appearing in Dubai Mall pop-ups as well as publications including Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, Hia, and Laha.
