Second Edition of Middle East Blockchain Awards to Be Held in Dubai

The second edition of the Middle East Blockchain Awards (MEBA) will take place in Dubai, at Jumeirah Burj Al Arab on April 29th. Coinciding with the TOKEN2049 conference, the event will bring industry leaders, innovators and visionaries together to celebrate achievements in emerging technologies like blockchain and cryptocurrency.
According to Henley & Partners’ latest report, the UAE is leading blockchain growth in the MENA region, currently ranking third worldwide in digital currency usage. Recent data from Chainalysis also indicates that the MENA region is the seventh largest cryptocurrency market worldwide, having received an estimated on-chain value of $338.7 billion, between July 2023 and June 2024, accounting for 7.5% of the global transaction volume.
Dr. Marwan Al Zarouni, CEO, AI for Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism and CEO of Dubai Blockchain Centre (DBCC) will return as a judge for the second consecutive year.
