Egyptian Fashion Designers Have A Few Spots Left At The World’s First Ready-Couture Store in Dubai
At “1422,” fashion entrepreneurs get to book a space at unparalleled rates and conditions.
Cairo-based The Fashion Incubator ME (TFI) announced a few days ago that it has booked a space at the biggest concept store in the Middle East at the City Walk Dubai, launching on 24thof April 2019. The deadline for submitting ready garments is end of March. There are three spots left for the spring/summer season.
“What we are offering is the chance to showcase per season; only offered under the umbrella of TFI,” TFI Founder Nohir Saleh tells Startup Scene. “TFI rent price is nowhere to compare to store rental prices; insurance asked for by the store is covered by TFI . So, we take care of all these details along with the services offered by TFI. We give the chance to designers to be creative and take care of designing only.”
TFI’s services will include fabric and trims purchase, production, quality control, packaging, branding. “For 1422, we will be handling shipping to and from Dubai -costs covered by designers – as well as payments and marketing,” she adds.
The name “1422” is derived from the Arab Fashion Council’s slogan “1 Council for 22 Arab Countries;” it is the world’s first Ready-Couture store licensed by the Arab Fashion Council, aiming to become one of the world’s most important concept stores based in heart of Dubai.
By helping Egyptian as well as Middle Eastern designers reach international markets, TFI’s mission is to turn Egypt into the go-to destination for garment production and Saleh trust we will take over the fashion scene in the very near future. “For me Egypt and Africa are gemstones for the Fashion and Apparel industry,” Saleh says. “Not only can we produce the best fabrics, our sense of style is impeccable and we have an eye for details.”
