Bayzat's CEO Explains Why Automation is Vital - Even When Your Startup is Small
As the Dubai-based startup just raised $5 million to boost its HR automation business, founder and CEO Talal Bayaa explains his vision for the future of startups, in his own words.
Technology is changing how firms interact with customers, how services are managed and initiated, and how employees approach their work. On a structural level, it’s paving the way for new modes of operations; removing time-consuming tasks and giving employees the time and faculty to focus on business driving responsibilities. Regardless of your company’s current state, it’s size or its direction, automation safeguards the potential to scale, and ensures that whatever circumstances arise, your workforce is well-equipped to handle it.
The world of automation is slowly taking over. Automation can save time and money, delight customers by safeguarding their time, and extracts the lingering potential for human error.
Nevertheless, while there is mounting demand for automation, SaaS (software as a service) are still facing many barriers to entry. In a report by Aberdeen group, 60% of all organizations confessed the need to improve and automate basic tasks to alleviate pressure from administrative roles to drive more capital into their management processes—and yet, most companies have yet to make the switch. Many cite ‘fear of the unknown’ as a key determinant in their decision to forgo this new mode of doing this, fearing that AI and automation is the first step in undermining their necessity in their current job role. What they don’t realize is how automation will help them facilitate their job better by taking administration and redundant tasks out of the equation.
The perfect example would be adopting a HR automated module. This not only includes employee record management, birthday and celebration date reminders but also insurance policy information and leave management details. This makes it easy for the company HR to streamline work on a centralized plane that is accessible for all involved
In the most basic sense, automation technology is about making life easier because it removes mundane tasks, consolidates resources and presents more opportunities for you to spend more time and money on high-returning tasks.
Perhaps one of the most interesting ways automation and cloud based HRMS can consolidate information is through its ability to automate critical information and have it accessible through all on a portable cloud-based system. Important deadlines, requests, calls for sensitive information updates (like the end of a credit card expiry, or Emirates ID renewal) doesn’t have to be left to the memory of one person—it can be issued automatically, ensuring that all those involved are sequestered from the burden of missed deadlines and requests. Transparency of data across departments is vital. The use of automation tools increases visibility into a business operation by centralizing data in a way that makes it more accurate and efficient to understand and apply information acquired through software.
Be it a start-up on a fully-grown business, data and analysis are of utmost priority. Automation gives access to superior data and insights that don’t always exist when you’re doing something manually. As a result, you’re able to better understand efficiencies, recognize areas of improvement, and get to know your customers more.
Considering all the above factors, it is certain that with the amount of time, money as well as energy that it can help save, automation can become an important addition for every business. Good automation is the only way to multi-task without compromising your focus and mental acuity.
