The Seedstars World Competition 2020/21 (SSW) has announced 20 finalists out of the 94 startups that participated. The 20 startups in the Regional Finals - four of which are from the MENA region - are all competing for the chance to take part in the ultimate Grand Finale, from which only one Global Winner will emerge to win a grand prize of USD 500K in equity investment.
The four MENA finalists are Almawwan, the first and biggest digital platform for construction materials in Egypt; Tunisia’s Fulfilment Bridge, a cloud-based global e-commerce logistic platform offering warehousing in four continents; BiomWeb, a Lebanese startup that is revolutionising the wastewater sector; and Droobi Health, the world’s first suite of bilingual (Arabic & English) digital therapeutic programmes from Qatar.
The Swiss-based investment, Seedstars, holds the Seedstars World Competition annually to scout for the most promising startups in Asia, Africa, CEE, MENA, and LATAM.
The regional finals will be aired on April 12th to April 16th.
