Changelabs Launches Egypt’s First Impact-Centered Accelerator Programme

The accelerator programme is offering up to EGP 2.5 million fund.

Striving to transform disputing ideas into sustainable startups, Egypt’s leading impact-centered startup accelerator, Changelabs kicked off its first cycle, few days ago, in partnership with BLOM Bank Egypt, Amazon, The entrepreneurship academy by SANAD, and finally the Egyptian Ministry Of Investment and International Cooperation’s incubator, Fekretak Sherketak.

The six-week programme will offer the social entrepreneurs access to a network of global mentors, world-class experts, wide-reaching investors, partners, customers, and up to EGP 2.5 million fund. Moreover, Changelabs will offer them the needed ambiance and tools, to develop their ideas and turn it to sustainable startups with meaningful impact.

“We believe in unlocking potentials and Egypt is a mine of fresh ideas, passionate youth and opportunities for real impact that is the cornerstone of Changelabs mission in the region. Egypt’s youth are an integral part of that mission, the Founder of Changelabs, Karim Samra explains.

10 Egyptian-based impact-driven startups joined the programme, including Youspital, Lender, OTO Courses, Nash2, Cyyann, Presto, Proteinea, VLaby (Virtual Labs Platform), Well.Fit.Go and Abou Loreif.

It is not the first time for Changelabs to turn creative ideas into sustainable startups. Over a decade, Changelabs' programme has circulated Boston, London, Beirut and Osaka, bringing about Aspire, Nanohealth, IMPCT and Sunnymoney.
