Dubai’s Grubtech Raises $3.4 Million to Expand into MENA & Europe
With this Pre-Series A funding round, the food delivery and cloud kitchen enabler will now push forward with its ambitious expansion plans.
Grubtech, a Dubai-based digital platform and service that enables delivery-based restaurants and cloud kitchens, has raised $3.4 million in Pre-Series A funding. With increased demand for online food delivery - a demand that has been further instigated by the Coronavirus pandemic - Grubtech has already serviced hundreds of brands, and is well positioned to use these funds to spread into the MENA region, Europe and the Americas.
“Grubtech has been a key partner of ours in the launch and operation of our first cloud kitchen in the region,” said Vice President of Cloud Kitchens and Concepts at Talabat, Joe Frem. “Deployed within days, it provides our tenants with the tools necessary to efficiently operate multiple brands out of one location, thereby maximizing kitchen capacity and order throughput.” “We are still in the early stages of the digitization of the F&B sector, akin to e-commerce 10 years ago," CEO of Grubtech, Mohamed Al Fayed, said.
"The operations of high volume, multi-brand and omnichannel sales are complex, and so Grubtech has been built with a deep focus on our customers’ pain points today, and anticipated issues and opportunities of the future.”
