Egyptian HealthTech Platform Vezeeta Joins Forces with Pharma Giant MSD Egypt

The initiative will provide access to MSD Egypt’s bank of medical research and latest scientific research to doctors and patients via Vezeeta’s platform.

Regional healthtech trailblazer Vezeeta is teaming up with MSD Egypt, an affiliate of the global pharmaceutical company, to run a local digital digital awareness and engagement campaign for patients and healthcare professionals using their HealthTech platform.

“I believe that our partnership with MSD Egypt will deliver a truly unique value-driven solution that has the potential to improve healthcare across the nation at scale,” says Amir Barsoum, Founder and CEO of Vezeeta. “By using accurate and authentic data to drive public health awareness, we can ensure the very best of medical care for our communities.”

The partnership will leverage MSD's world-class trusted medical information and scientific updates to provide all of this information cohesively on Vezeeta’s digital platforms. This benefits both doctors and patients in that it provides reliable information round the clock with a few taps. Namely for doctors, the ‘Stream’ section of the dedicated Vezeeta Doctors’ app will publish targeted research and best medical practices and make it available to over 16,000 doctors.

“As digital healthcare leaders, and trusted partners in the region, we’re proud to join forces with like-minded pioneers who have made incredible strides in healthcare and continue to tap into the power of technology to improve the lives and wellbeing of our people,” adds Barsoum.

Vezeeta’s HealthTech platform is an effective space for MSD Egypt’s long running mission to strengthen local practicing healthcare professionals’ education through innovative and digital solutions, an initiative that is undoubtedly most pressing and highly sought after during the pandemic.

“This pandemic has triggered an unprecedented demand for digital health-tech solutions that we believe will power this initiative and will help us achieve our ultimate goal to bring our science and support to healthcare providers for improving patients’ lives,” explains Dr. Ramy Koussa, Managing Director of MSD Egypt Cluster. “For this reason, MSD Egypt is glad to enter the collaboration with

Vezeeta, because furthering digital transformation and reimagining our ways of working, are key pillars in MSD’s strategy to fortify our future.”
