Jordanian-Saudi startup Trteeb has secured a direct investment of $150,000 from the Innovative Startups and SMEs Fund (ISSF), a Jordan-based private-sector managed investment fund. The financing comes as part of the ISSF’s goal of supporting 150-200 local innovators, and had been made in January 2021.

Trteeb’s services epitomise a weaving of the traditional with new technologies. It uses tech to provide an online platform in which users and customers can be connected to professional tailors who can style and tailor their traditional Arab garments and thobes. The platform also lets users customise their garbs and garms using the selection of available fabrics and designers.

Having secured this investment, Trteeb are focusing on expanding their operations and offering more comprehensive garment services to their customers. “This investment, which underscores the ISSF’s steadfast commitment to supporting and enabling Jordanian tech companies to succeed, will be used to sustain the development of our employees and products both inside and outside the Kingdom,” said Trteeb Co-Founder Sultan Basyoni in a press statement.
