China's Lenovo to Open Regional HQ & Tech Manufacturing Hub in Riyadh

Chinese PC maker Lenovo is establishing a regional headquarters in Riyadh, signalling a major expansion of its operations in the Middle East. The headquarters will be located at the Al Majdoul Tower, a growing hub for innovation and technology leadership in Saudi Arabia.
The company has appointed Lawrence Yu to lead Lenovo’s operations in the region, alongside Giovanni Di Filippo as General Manager for Lenovo Saudi Arabia and Zoran Radumilo as Chief Technology Officer.
In partnership with ALAT, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, Lenovo will also develop a 200,000-sqm manufacturing facility within Riyadh’s Special Integrated Logistics Zone. The plant is expected to begin production in 2026, focusing on “Saudi Made” PCs, laptops, smartphones, and servers, further boosting the Kingdom’s position as a regional tech hub.
Combined with a retail presence, VIP service centres, and the new headquarters, the expansion is projected to contribute up to $10 billion to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil GDP by 2030.
