Saudi edtech startup iStoria has closed its Seed investment round, securing a total of $1.3 million in funding. The investment round witnessed the participation of Nama Ventures, Classera, Flat6Labs, BIM Ventures, and several notable angel investors.

Launched in March 2022, iStoria - developed in collaboration with Oxford - is a specialized English language teaching application with over one million learners globally. The success of iStoria can be attributed to its expansion into the education sector, forming partnerships with numerous private and government schools. This strategic move enables schools to integrate iStoria into their curriculum, offering students a unique and effective tool for English language development with direct supervision.

"Through this funding, we will continue our mission to empower individuals to communicate effectively and boost their confidence in using the English language,” Eng. Abdullah Al-Jabri, the founder and CEO of iStoria, tells StartupScene. “We are optimistic and eagerly anticipate the next phase of our journey. Our growth and impact will primarily come from serving organizations and expanding our global presence.”

With the infusion of capital, iStoria plans to further enhance its English language learning platform, accelerating innovation and extending its reach to learners worldwide.
