Saudi Influencer Platform Flicron Raises $1.7 Million for Expansion
Raised from Manafa Capital, the funding round will allow the startup to explore entering into other MENA markets.
Flicron, Saudi Arabia’s first micro-influencer platform, has closed its second Equity Crowdfunding round with $1.7 million through Manfaa Capital. The platform helps connect brands and businesses with social media influencers that can curate content for them and help them reach the appropriate demographics.
Since launching in 2018, they’ve already connected 9,000 micro influencers with over 400 small, medium, and large businesses. With these new funds, the startup hopes to be able to expand to greater coverage of the Saudi market and develop the tech operations of their platform.
Their process is simple but effective. At no cost to them, brands upload a brief for their products and then receive curated content from influencers, only paying for the content they select and wish to buy. Hashem Zahran, Flicron’s COO, said that the startup is looking towards expanding into other countries in the Middle East in the near future, after growing their team and taking on more talents.
