Moving on from the slow seasons that are Ramadan and Eid El-Fitr, MENA's startup ecosystem is trying to catch up and pick up the pace this month, bringing a busy July full of conferences, networking events, demo days and application deadlines. From Morocco to Bahrain, here are six opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa worth exploring this month. 

Seedstars Amman is looking for applicants/ Deadline: July 5th  

The 10 best startups from Amman will be invited to pitch in front of an investment panel and compete to be crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Amman 2017. The winning startup will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars Summits that include our tried and tested bootcamp and investor forum. It’s a catalytic platform for high growth emerging market startups.

Greenhouse Accelerator is looking for applicants / Deadline: July 10th 

Chalhoub Group, a Middle Eastern company managing global brands such as Christian Dior, Givenchy and Sephora, has now just launched the Greenhouse Accelerator, looking for tech startups with ready-to-deploy- products that address 5 challenges they have identified in the retail space. Resembling an innovation lab, is equity-free and sets off to "accelerate the implementation of the right solutions” at the heart of their own company. “We are looking to collaborate with you with the goal of being your customer or licensing your technology. Lean Startup Night, Cairo / July 10th

Lean Startup is coming to Egypt! Join us at the Lean Startup Night at the American University in Cairo Oriental Hall, Downtown Campus for an evening on evidence-based entrepreneurship. The event will host several local and international speakers and will kick off at 6:30pm followed by a networking reception. World Blockchain Congress, Manama / July 29th 

Aiming to bring together key stakeholders from diverse field, the World Blockchain Congress at the Hotel Sofitel Bahrain in Manama is set to explore new opportunities for growth in blockchain technology in the Middle East. Arab Financial Inclusion Innovation Prize / August 15th

The Arab Financial Inclusion Innovation prize is calling out for applicants for its first edition. Innovators from all sectors, who have creative and practical ideas to increase access to financial services in the Arab region, are invited to apply for the chance of winning up to $50,000 in prizes. In collaboration with Sanabel, the prizes include a cash grant, consulting services and the chance to present their idea at the 2018 Sanabel conference in Amman where the winners will be announced. You can apply here
