Alexandria's Techne Summit Is Back With Two New Tracks: Health Tech And Real Estate

The annual Techne Summit is back with good news for startups and entrepreneurs involved with health tech, architecture, and real estate. Taking place at Alexandria's timeless Bibliotheca Alexandrina between September 29^th and 30^th. "What's different this year is that we have added a couple of new tracks, which are the Health-Tech track and the Architecture and Real-Estate track," Techne Summit's Founder Tarek El-Kady tells Startup Scene. 

Techne Summit 2018 will be held under the auspicious of both ministries of Communication and Information Technology, Investment and International Cooperation and The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. 

Other tracks include Marketing and Media Technology, FinTech, and Investment Track which is only exclusive to investors. There's also the E-commerce Track and Startup Academy Track which tackles the business side of the startups and includes workshops and one-on-one mentoring. Startup Academy would focus on startups' needs and would help them understand about setting up their businesses, raising funds, understanding markets and consumers.

Alex Angels, which is also founded by El-Kady, will launch their Q3 2018 Pitch Event within the Investment Track. Startups will get a chance to pitch for investment form Alex Angels Investors, other Solo Investors and networks from the MENA, Mediterranean and GCC regions. "We have more partners onboard, more startups who have signed up, and there's a significant participation from the Mediterranean region," El-Kady adds. "The competitions line-up is also very exciting, we have multi-industry focused competitions that will reward startups with different kind of study exchange trips, cash and in-kind awards."
