Flat6Labs Cairo to Host ‘Pitchathon’ Local Startup Competition in June

Flat6Labs Cairo has collaborated with Egyptian incubator Start Egypt to host a new virtual pitch competition for local startups to get the chance to join their exclusive roster of support and mentorship programmes. 

The competition, titled ‘Pitchathon’, will have founders pitch to a panel of judges made up of Flat6Labs Cairo’s in-house team of experts. Select winners will be given the opportunity to join the Bootcamp Qualifier by Fla6Labs, a one-day workshop programme aimed at rounding high potential local founders, and honing in on their skills to optimise and enhance their startup’s business model in order to be best prepared to apply for the main Bootcamp. Meanwhile, Start Egypt’s favourite pitches will win fast-tracked entry to the interview phase of the Bootcamp.

The virtual ‘Pitchathon’ is an obvious change to Flat6Labs’ previous pitch events, in that the whole event will take place online. It’s also all about speed - all the pitches in will take place through the course of just two hours, giving each pitcher just a few minutes to communicate their idea and business model.
