IBMxRiseUp: Innovation, Technology, and Grounded Experiences / Nov 6

Biznex Exhibition/ Nov 8 – 10

 

Between November 8thand 10th, Egypt’s First Business is kicking off at Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement, New Cairo.

Lean Startup Model Workshop / Nov 9

 

In conjunction with AUC's Third International Conference on Solar Energy Solutions, Flat6Labs Cairo will be holding an info session on their acceleration programme. Programme Manager Ahmed El-Sherif will be hosting the workshop on the Lean Startup Model.

Through establishing strategic partnerships and building long-term linkages with the best organisations in the arena, El-Sherif believes in applying a design-led framework towards accelerating and growing startups.

El-Sherif has advised over 330 startups on their business models, designed and executed four startup accelerator programmes, four training bootcamps, trained over 65 startups, and designed and accelerated the growth of 30 startups.

This event is open to the public and registration for the full conference is not required.

Cultural Management Workshop / Nov 9 – 10

 

As part of their cultural track “winDOws”, Startup Haus Cairo is introducing their first two-day “Cultural Management 101 Workshop” on the 9thand 10thof November. Swedish Cultural Management Expert, Thomas J. Lund enjoys over 30 years of experience in this spectrum and will be giving attendees a piece of his mind between 3 PM and 7 PM.

Global Entrepreneurship Week / Nov 12 – 17

 

Kicking off from the 12thto the 17thof November, the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) will simultaneously take place introducing free enterprise to young enthusiasts in six continents. GEW emerged in 2008 as a spinoff of Enterprise Week UK and Entrepreneurship Week USA 2007. Supported by the the US Embassy, the American Corner at Maadi’s Public Library is gearing up to host GEW. 

Other than showcasing startups and raising awareness about entrepreneurship, GEW is here to help hone the pitching and strategic-thinking skills of young Egyptian entrepreneurs through workshops and fireside chats.

Seedstars MENA Summit / Nov 27 - 29

 

Under the patronage of the Lebanese Prime Minister's Office, this year's Seedstars MENA Regional Summit is taking place in Beirut, from November 27th to 29th. The event marks the end of Seedstars World's tour across 15 vibrant ecosystems in the Middle East and North Africa.

They are bringing together active investors, top corporates, digital government actors, tech and business media, and ambitious entrepreneurs from the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and the USA, to share insights, foster collaboration and investment opportunities, enable valuable connections both regionally and globally, and inspire attendees to believe in the potential of innovation in MENA.

Emre Gurkan, Touch’s CEO, is confirmed as the event’s first keynote and will be followed by an Open Talk by Touch about Startups’ role in corporate and family business innovation to kick off the tech and entrepreneurship discussions.
