3 Moroccan Startups to Watch: Meet the Winners of Arabnet's Startup Battle

From unlikely car-sharing services to employee management mobile apps, these startups are innovating their way to success - and just won top prizes at Casablanca’s Technopark.

Arabnet’s Startup Battle took place last March 27th at Casablanca’s Technopark, where 10 entrepreneurs battled it out for a chance to travel to ArabNet’s Digital Summit in Dubai, and a chance of receiving a prize of $20,000 cash at the  ArabNet Startup Championship, as well as a scholarship for acceleration in Silicon Valley. From online business management platforms, to car-sharing solutions, here’s the three winners:

1. Manageo: Founded by Lemrini Youssef, Manageo is an online software that facilitates the global management of small and medium businesses, with simple dashboards to allow a daily monitoring of the activity.

2. Carmine: This unlikely car-sharing service - it runs on a subscription-based model - led by Moroccan entrepreneur Mohammed Mrani Alaoui, gives its members immediate access to multiple cars around the city of Casablanca.

3. Breakr: Founded by bosslady Safaa Norredine, Breakr is a mobile application that allows companies and big corporations to enhance the well-being of employees at work. The user-friendly mobile application helps break the traditional networking process and fosters collaboration, allowing employees to connect to each other during different breaks by just swiping and chatting with others.
