Bahraini Workplace Management Startup SINC Gains $250,000 Pre-Seed Round to Boost Development Team

SINC, a Bahrain-based Software as a Service (SaaS) mobile and web-based application that simplifies the management of a workforce, has scored $250,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Dubai Angel Investors and other leading regional angel investors. In the short-term, the investment aims to expand SINC’s development team and develop more job tracking functions that small businesses in North America can benefit from.

“We are trying to win the domain of blue-collar SME job tracking and costing, so nailing this feature is the next big priority for us and what we have been working towards since we started building SINC two years ago. We are now on the cusp of implementing the solution, so it is a very exciting time for us,” says Sam Dolbel, Co-Founder and CEO of SINC.

One of the underlying issues facing blue-collar small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) is about the exponential growth of labour costs in comparison to revenue, the accurate analysis of difficult to assess data and traditional timesheets which can result to employers overpaying staff.

Additionally, payroll-related administration tasks can take up to 20% of the business owner’s time and effort, and staff scheduling systems can be too complicated to manage. Overcoming such issues, the platform improves the reporting on staff time-related mishaps or no-shows, as well as improving productivity and accountability of employees with job costing analysis capabilities being placed at the business owner’s fingertips.

The platform’s features include managing the workforce by location and job tracking, operating timesheets and staff scheduling. SINC is built with convenience and usability in mind, as the mobile app fully allows for human resources management to fulfill their in-office functions remotely. The platform specifically targets a North American audience and customer base of an estimated 1.5 small blue-collar businesses in that region, as the company seeks to develop tailor-made solutions and enhance the talented labor environment in the MENA region.
