Egypt’s National Council for Women Launches Group to Connect Craftswomen with Female Entrepreneurs
Named ‘My Craft, My Strength’, the group aims to create an ecosystem for craftswomen.

Egypt’s National Council for Women has announced the launch of a new online initiative that aims to connect female entrepreneurs with skilled craftswomen. The platform, titled Qoweti fi Herfeti or ‘my strength is in my craft,’ is a Facebook building an ecosystem.
The goal of the initiative is to create a female-focused supply chain and bridge the deficit in skilled artisans. The platform will provide a stage for these craftswomen and allow them to network themselves within the labour market, and will welcome all those interested in women’s economic empowerment and their integration into the micro-enterprise sector and the labour market.
